DPSA Clinical Psychologist Vacancies Requirements:-

Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Clinical Psychologist in a relevant registration category. Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist in any of the identified categories. Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of South African qualified employees who performed Community Service, as required in South Africa. One-year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of South African qualified employees who performed Community Service, as required in South Africa. Minimum of 11 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of South African qualified employees who performed Community Service, as required in South Africa. Minimum of 21 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa. Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge of clinical psychology and its application in both the assessment and the treatment of MCUs. Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Care Act and Regulations. Specific competency in the selection, use and interpretation of relevant psychometrics. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong management and leadership skills. Strong ability to build and work as a team. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as a team. Administrative ability, including computer skills
